Advocacy at CapChurch

Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: ‘God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.’

(Matthew 28:19-20, The Message)

At Capilano Christian Community we believe that God is advancing His Kingdom by revealing the love of Jesus Christ through the compassionate service and justice-making of Christians as well as through direct witness to the person and work of Jesus Christ. As leaders of Capilano Christian Community we desire to commission workers who are sent locally or further afield, whether supported, partially supported, or self-supported.

The Missions Goal at CapChurch is to equip every Christian who partners in the gospel in our community to know Jesus Christ and make Him known. To carry out this Mission Goal the leaders of Capilano Christian Community will seek:

  • To be responsive to individuals who wish to carry out a mission activity;
  • To be proactive in mobilizing Capilano Christian Community for local and world mission;
  • To inform the community of outreach opportunities.

At Capilano Christian Community will have three active groups of people — those who go to serve, those who stay so support, and those who return and train.
