Bufukhula

It began with a vision that was loosely formed in the heart and mind of one of our Elders upon returning from a trip to Uganda with Canadian Food for the Hungry (CFHI). Shortly after sharing this vision with the leadership, CapChurch committed to 5 yearly visits to Makhai and Bufukhula beginning in 2005 with the mandate of seeing what might emerge. This spring our third team returned from Bufukhula energized and excited to continue building our relationship with our brothers and sisters in Uganda. Our connection with this village is unique and extends far beyond that of financial intervention (though many children in Bufukhula are “fostered” by Cappers through Canadian Food for the Hungry). We continue to attend to the Spirit as our two communities, one church and one village, journey in faith.
