GOD AND THE REALLY BROKEN WORLD
or IS GOD REALLY GOOD ALL THE TIME?
Every Sunday when we release the
children and youth we say the same call
and response:
God is good . . . all the time.
All the time . . . God is good.
It is not just something we say for the
sake of the children – Is it?
What does that statement mean to you?
What do you think of when it is said?
Do you say it? Is it harder to say some
days? Do you believe it is true?
Is God really good? All of the time?
We live in a world that is seriously messed
up – a place where God’s goodness is not
always obvious and our personal
experiences often stand in the face of
that statement.
Is God really good, all the time?

Pray our Despair
Today, we consider what it means to “Pray our Despair” by reflecting on Psalm 88. One blogger describes the psalm this way:
