Disconnect Anxiety: Reflections on the Internet

February 18, 2018 – Rod Wilson

For February, we are starting a new venture at CAP that we are calling ‘Fear and Anxiety February @ CapChurch.’ Our intent is to spend the four Sundays on fear and anxiety so people are educated, encouraged, and equipped.  Come yourself and invite friends and family.

This morning we will ask whether the internet is helping or hindering our fear and anxiety and how we might respond to the potential problem.

“My Little Pink Pill: Reflections on Mental Health”

February 4, 2018 – Rod Wilson

For February, we are starting a new venture at CAP that we are calling ‘Fear and Anxiety February @ CapChurch.’ Our intent is to spend the four Sundays on fear and anxiety so people are educated, encouraged, and equipped.  Come yourself and invite friends and family.
This morning’s message will encourage us all to recognize that struggles with mental health are part of the human condition.   As we struggle we can experience the powerful message in Psalm 139 that we are known by God.

Prayer and Faith

August 28, 2016 – Shelley MacDonald-Lin

Wouldn’t it be fascinating if we could listen to Jesus’ brother talk about things he heard from his brother? What do you think he would tell us?  What would he emphasize?  Through the work of the Holy Spirit we have this opportunity from June 5 through to September 4 as we study the Book of James together.  Each Sunday we will have the opportunity to engage the book both by listening to the preacher but also by interacting with the preacher and each other so stay tuned for interactive sermons not monologues.  This Sunday, Shelley MacDonald-Lin will be speaking from James 5:13-20. The key personal question is: “How is prayer a manifestation of your faith in God’s power?”
