Join us for an evening of conversations and teaching…
This October, CapChurch’s pastors and Governance Team invite you to three evenings of teaching and conversation focused on the topic of LGBTQ2S+ inclusion in our church.
The purpose of these nights is to share with the community our convictions emerging from our last several years of study, listening, and discussion–most recently our CapReads book group last spring–that people of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations must be lovingly welcomed into full participation in the life, ministry, and leadership of our church.
We would love every Capper to attend at least one evening but you are welcome to attend all three! Each evening will be slightly different but will include the same elements: teaching, a personal interview, and dialogue.
When: Wednesday, October 12, 19, and 26 from 7 PM – 9 PM
Where: Capilano Estates Clubhouse
Whether you are currently affirming, non-affirming, or conflicted, please join us. You may not share our convictions by the end of these evenings, but nevertheless, we hope to have listened well and learned from one another in this process. For questions or more information please email Matt Lee email@example.com
To give us a sense of numbers each night, please RSVP here to book your seat.
Karen Keen and Wesley Hill speak at Wheaton College addressing the question: “Is Sex Difference Essential to Marriage?” It’s worth watching the whole thing to see some of the distinctions between our views.
