Cap Christmas Market

VIRTUAL CRAFT FAIR 2020

Last Christmas, a number of talented Cappers shared their creations with us after church in our very own Christmas Craft Market. This year, we are offering a virtual version, giving you an excellent way to complete your Christmas shopping by buying local and handmade goods.

For orders and pick-up arrangements, please contact each artist directly. Most prefer payment by e-transfer. If there are enough orders, we may set up a central curbside pick-up time and place.

For your shopping enjoyment, click the video for a virtual store ambiance experience.

BEV WILSON

Christmas Cards
Bev has been crafting beautiful art cards as well as Christmas cards for a number of years.

Because it has been a hard year, for this year’s Christmas card collection she looked for images with warmth or humour. You will see that the majority of her card images are vintage, bringing warmth of the colours used in those times and old memories. They come from the 19th Century into the mid-20th Century, along with some that she hopes might bring you a chuckle (take note of the image with a Toilet Paper Christmas Tree!)

HOW TO ORDER:

1. Browse Bev’s complete collection of cards and tags on her web pages:

Then send an e-mail to bev@capchurch.ca if you have questions or would like to place an order.

Please include the name of the items you are interested in (found by hovering over each image on her web pages).

JAN BRYANT

Watercolor Paintings
When the lockdown started, Jan had just started to paint birds and decided to paint one every day.

She needed reference photos so joined the Lent Backyard Pilgrim daily walk and occasionally went to Maplewood Conservation Area. Then she fell in love with birds and is at Maplewood every day at the crack of dawn for two hours, walking, marvelling at God’s creation and taking photos.

She tries to capture the gesture and character of the bird, not paint every tiny feather.

HOW TO ORDER:

1. Send an e-mail to janb@capchurch.ca

Please include the painting # you are interested in.

Descriptions:

  • Paintings 1-12. $50 each / unframed

      • #6=SOLD

Some of the paintings are labelled with the type of bird. If you have inquiries or have a favorite bird not represented here, don’t hesitate to reach out to Jan. She has a number of other options to share with you as well.

SHAUN HUBERTS

Handcrafted Pens

Handcrafted ballpoint pens by Shaun, who call this pen venture, Saint Thomas.

Each Saint Thomas Pen is individually made by hand, my hand, Shaun Huberts, in my grandpa’s old workshop located in North Vancouver, BC Canada. I hand pick the woods and put them together myself while hoping to get something unique, while still uniform, in each and every pen.

These pens are a piece of art! They are made NOT ONLY for function, but almost more for INSPIRATION. When you see this pen, it is my hope that it inspires you to pick it up and be creative! They are made to create so much greatness, but they are also just meant to be used! So if you get inspired to jot down an incredible grocery list, then, VOILA, this pen will do that for you! Sign a wedding registry? Yup, that too, AND while in style!

Saint Thomas is named after my late grandfather, Thomas Lesley Lewis Ellis, a fascinating and wonderfully creative man who spent his years making jewelry and other fine arts. After his workshop was passed on to me, I sent out on a mission, inspired by his creativity and skill, to make something of my own; something that would make him proud. So here we are today, and introducing to you, Saint Thomas Pens.

HOW TO ORDER:

1. Send an e-mail to shaun@capchurch.ca
