Cap reads again this fall…
Do you have big questions about the Bible? Wondering how we are meant to engage with this beautifully messy book, or whether it’s even relevant at all? Last spring some Cappers read and discussed Peter Enns’ How the Bible Actually Works, and it was such a great experience that we’re doing it again!
Starting after Thanksgiving, we’ll meet one evening per week over Zoom to discuss the book for an hour or so. (Specific start date TBA.) E veryone is welcome to join the conversation or just to drop in, even if you haven’t read the book. Email kim@capchurch.ca to learn more.
Subscribe to our updates and watch your inbox video and reflection questions from Kim Pierrot, intended to facilitate study of Matthew 5-7 for micro-churches and individuals.
What a wonderful experience to read something that helped facilitate my spiritual growth! Peter Enns has helped clarify my feelings and personal opinions, and I am no longer as intimidated by the Bible.
I didn’t always agree with [the author], but his teaching definitely opened my mind to see scripture with a broader perspective.
I didn’t appreciate Peter Enns’ book until … he outlined a different way to read the bible, a more structured way than I had in the past.
Reading this book has unlocked a new way of reading the bible which I am so excited about.
