As we come to the end of CapChurch’s 9-month pilot project…
As we come to the end of CapChurch’s 9-month pilot project, we are so grateful you have stuck with us, and that you have continued to participate in the life of our community during this season of change.
Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing what we know about our next steps.
First of all, micro-churches were the best part of our community life this year.
Over 90 Cappers from multiple generations participated in 10 micro-churches. Words like “rich, faith-filled, chaotic but meaningful, encouraging” were used by leaders to describe their experience of micro-churches this year. These groups will be winding down for the summer, but we plan to continue this way of gathering on alternate Sundays starting this fall and hope that many more of you will want to join in!
Secondly, we heard from many of you a clear preference for Sunday worship in the morning. So, starting in July, we will be shifting our gathering time back to 10 AM on alternate Sundays.
For our all-church gatherings in July and August, we are pleased to announce we have secured the Corrigan Nature House located in the Conservation Area at Maplewood Flats.
Our all-church Sunday worship dates there will be July 10, 24, August 7 and 21. All ages are welcome.
Our all-church alternate Sunday meeting place for the fall and beyond has yet to be solidified, but we are pursuing some promising possibilities. I feel confident God goes before us in our search and look forward to sharing news with you in the coming weeks as to how we are seeing God’s Presence, Compassion and Generosity at work in the provision of a new meeting place for CapChurch.
