Our Proactive Pastoral Response to the COVID-19 Virus Developments…
Dear Cap Family,
Along with many of you, we have been processing the news and updates regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As leaders, we have wrestled with what this may mean for our community, and how we can be part of the solution rather than the problem.
As Cappers, we are a people whose identity is defined by our relational connection to God and to one another, not by a building, or even by a Sunday morning gathering. Beyond Sunday, we offer our love and care, with a special concern for those who are most vulnerable.
In light of this, and given the current information and recommendations available to us, we have decided to suspend our Sunday morning services throughout Spring Break. We make this decision motivated by faith, hope, and love, confident that God will inspire new and creative ways for us to practice presence, compassion and generosity in this time.
In the next few days, we will be offering resources and opportunities to help you remain connected with one another and with God. Stay tuned, and please reach out to us if there are specific ways that we can support and care for you and your families.
Kim & John.
